NGOs

NGOs, or Non-Governmental Organizations, are typically non-profit groups that operate independently of government control. They are usually created to address a particular social or political issue, such as human rights, environmental conservation, or healthcare.

The vision of the swarm and several NGOs is to change the world for the better. Here are some examples: Attac, Oxfam, Amnesty International, Greenpeace, WWF, Transparency International, Doctors Without Borders, Fridays for Future.

The swarm could help the NGOs by providing financial resources for their activities and projects. In return, the NGOs could help the swarm to become better known in order to gain more members and resources for their fund.

The swarm differs from the aforementioned NGOs mainly in that it generates profit and could therefore provide financial resources for the NGOs’ activities and projects. This would make more sense than setting up their own structures in areas where similar organizations are already active.

The search is on for people who can get in touch with the NGOs and convince them that it is to their advantage to promote the swarm.

Goals of some of the NGOs mentioned:

Attac: works to make the global economy more democratic and socially just, including by introducing a financial transaction tax, regulating financial markets and combating tax avoidance. The organization is also committed to social justice, environmental protection and the promotion of alternatives to neoliberal economic policy.

Oxfam: A global organization dedicated to fighting poverty and social injustice.

Greenpeace: An international environmental protection organization that works to protect the environment and promote renewable energies.

WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature): An organization that works to protect nature and preserve biodiversity.

Transparency International: Works to combat corruption and promote transparency in governments and companies.

Doctors Without Borders: A medical aid organization that provides medical care in crisis areas and humanitarian disasters.

DiEM25: A pan-European political movement and party that campaigns for the democratization of the European Union and is committed to progressive politics and a more transparent EU.
