Rewarding Early Contributors: The WAO Pioneer Program

At We Are One (WAO), we believe that real change happens when people collaborate—not just as volunteers, but as co-owners of the project’s future. That’s why we’re designing a fair reward system for early contributors: your time, skills, and passion today should translate into real profits tomorrow.

Whether you’re helping with content, design, code, or community-building, we want to ensure that every contribution counts—and that those who shape WAO from the start share in its success.

We want a system that automatically makes founders holders of shares—with direct participation in future profits. This creates a common interest among all parties involved to actively and sustainably advance the system.

How It Works: The WAO Pioneer Program

1. Phase-Based Rewards

We track contributions in two phases, ensuring transparency and fairness:

How It Works: The WAO Pioneer Program

1. Phase-Based Rewards

We track contributions in two phases, ensuring transparency and fairness:

Phase What You Earn How It’s Documented
Pre-Launch Pioneer Points” (1 point = 1 hour of work) Public ledger (GitHub/Google Sheets)
Post-Launch Convert points to shares, profit-sharing, or voting rights Legal structure (cooperative/association)

Example Rewards:

  • 500 points = 0.5% ownership stake (e.g., as a cooperative member).
  • 1,000 points = 1% of future profit (e.g., from partnerships or ads).

2. Legal Structure Options

We’re exploring two models to formalize contributions:

Option A: Cooperative Model

  • WAO becomes a registered cooperative.
  • Early participants receive membership shares, making them co-owners with voting rights.
  • Profits (if any) are distributed among members based on contribution.

Option B: public limited company + Profit-Sharing

  • WAO operates stock company.
  • Participants earn options for shares

3. Transparency & Trust

  • Public Contribution Tracker: A live leaderboard shows who’s contributed what (e.g., “Maria: 300 points for UX design”).
  • Quarterly Votes: The community decides how to weigh contributions (e.g., should coding count more than content?).
  • Badges & Recognition: Early contributors get a “WAO Founding Member” badge on their profile and input on key decisions.

4. Long-Term Engagement

  • Exclusive Influence: Pioneers help shape strategic directions (e.g., new features, partnerships).
  • Networking & Opportunities: Access to WAO’s growing community and potential paid roles as the project scales.

Why This Matters

We’re not just building a website—we’re creating a movement where everyone benefits from collective success. By rewarding early contributions fairly, we ensure that:
Effort is valued (no exploitation, only collaboration).
Ownership is shared (you’re not just a user—you’re a stakeholder).
The project stays true to its roots (powered by people, not investors).
