🌍 An Idea—Crazy Enough to Work?
Everything starts with an idea. Some are brilliant, others just plain crazy—mine probably falls into the latter category. But consider the context: In a world full of absurdities, where we all watch things spiral out of control—what you’re about to see might just seem downright reasonable.
What’s this about?
WeAreOne (WAO) aims to build an independent European social media and AI infrastructure—owned and controlled by a commercially operating part of a democratically controlled non-profit-organization, that promotes effective, fair climate policy. No Silicon Valley corporations, no government surveillance—just a platform by us, for us. A democratically controlled counterweight to the established system—which is controlled by fascists and oligarchs. For a world that belongs to all of us.
📢 Why This Page? Why Now?
This page is primarily for my Bluesky followers. Some of you have already visited the WeAreOne homepage—but a lot has changed in recent weeks. Now I—Heiko—can finally say: Take a look! And help out!
You know my worldview—and likely share it: We’re heading toward disaster. The question isn’t if, but how fast it’s happening. And most importantly: What are we going to do about it?
I’ve been thinking about this for years. This website is the result—a project I almost abandoned because it seemed hopeless. But what’s happening in the U.S. right now is a wake-up call. It shows what’s coming for us if we don’t act—it’s screaming: “Do something now, before it’s too late!”
A project like this is still possible today—but who knows for how long? In a few years, even the idea itself might be criminalized for being “antifa” or “system-critical.” Now or never!
I don’t want to live in a European fascism in ten years’ time, look back and think: “Maybe I could have done something – but I didn’t even try.”
So I’m trying now. And I’m calling on you: Join in! Let’s build this together.
Bluesky is full of bright minds—it’s too bad to waste so much potential only on complaining and outrage. High time to invest in action.

My vision is that one day this website will be so well thought out, so captivating, and so inspiring that it will spread like wildfire. That it will not only attract attention, but also spark enthusiasm—that feeling that something big is happening here, and I want to be part of it.
